2025 pro2 Network+ Digital Goodie Bag Offering for OHS: Raffle for Free Place at the pro² network+ 2025 Summer School
1. The University of Bristol (“Promoter”) is the promoter of the Raffle advertised via a digital goodie bag for attendees of the Open Hardware Summit 2025 (“Raffle”).
2. By submitting an entry to the Raffle the applicant is agreeing to be bound by the Promoter’s terms and conditions set out below (“Terms”).
3. The Raffle is only open to registered participants of the 2025 Open Hardware Summit (“Summit”).
4. In entering the Raffle, entrants confirm that they are willing and able to attend the pro² network+ summer school 2025, a place on which is what is available as the Raffle prize (“Prize”). Entrants also confirm that they understand a short paper detailing a device prototype that they have made/would like to make must be submitted to admin@prosquared.org if they win a place at the summer school as part of the raffle. A template for the paper and further details can be found at: Device Prototyping Summer School – pro² network+. The paper is due by 7th July 2025.
5. If the Promoter has any reason to believe that an entrant has breached these Terms or that the conduct of the entrant is contrary to the spirit or intention of the Raffle, the Promoter reserves the right to disqualify or exclude the entrant from participating in the Raffle.
6. The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the Raffle where it becomes necessary to do so.
7. There is a limit of one entry per person. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed.
8. Entries to the Raffle are free. There is no cash alternative for winning. Maximum of one winning entry available.
9. The Promoter will not accept entries to the Raffle that are: i) automatically generated by computer or created by artificial intelligence; ii) completed by third parties or in bulk; iii) illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with; iv) incomplete; or v) obscene, offensive, threatening, hateful, inflammatory, promotes sexually explicit material, promotes violence, promotes discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age, or promotes any illegal activity.
10. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault of any kind.
11. The winner of the Raffle will be chosen at random.
12. If the winner does not claim the Prize strictly in accordance with these Terms, then the Prize will be forfeited and the Promoter reserves the right to offer the Prize to another winner selected in accordance with the process described above. The Promoter does not accept any responsibility if a winner is not able to take up the Prize.
13. The Promoter shall not be responsible for any expenses incurred by a Raffle winner in relation to attending the summer school.
14. The Promoter will either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. In claiming the Prize the winner consents to his/her/their name, surname and institutional affiliation (if any) to be published on the social media or other communication channel used by the Promoter to run the Raffle. To object to his/her/their name, surname and institutional affiliation (if any) being published in this way, the winner must communicate this to the Promoter when claiming the place. The Promoter will still have the right to provide such information to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
15. When claiming the place the winner may agree to give consent for the Promoter to use the winner’s details, or to have the winner’s photograph taken for display at the Promoter’s website, emails, prints or otherwise as part of any future social media posts or other marketing materials relating to Promoter’s promotions.
16. The Raffle is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with any social media platform providers such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or otherwise. Entrants will be bound by the terms of service of those platform providers when entering the Raffle if published on such social media.
17. Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the Prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter. The statutory rights of the winner are not affected.
18. Any personal data that entrants share with the Promoter under the Raffle will only be processed for the purpose of carrying out the Raffle and delivering the Prize in accordance with these Terms and will be deleted thereafter. Such personal data will be processed at all times in compliance with the Promoter’s Data Protection policies, UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
19. These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If any entrants to the Raffle wish to take court proceedings, then they must do this within the courts in the United Kingdom.
2025 PRO2 NETWORK+ OPEN HARDWARE SUMMIT RAFFLE

Opening Date: at 09.00 a.m. UK time on 30th May 2025. Closing Date: 6.00 p.m. UK time on 4th June 2025. Entries received by the Promoter after the Closing Date may not be accepted at the Promoter’s discretion.
Place: There is one free place available at the pro² network+ Summer School 2025 taking place in Lancaster, UK from 15th to the 18th of July. Accommodation, meals and course content will be provided for free. Attendees are responsible for arranging their own travel. To enter the Raffle, you must be a registered participant of the Open Hardware Summit and must complete the Raffle entry form by the Closing Date.
The winner will be contacted via email on 5th June.
If you are a Prize winner, to claim your Prize you must confirm both receipt of the notification email informing you that you have won and your intention to attend the summer school. As per the application process for the summer school you must submit a paper detailing a device you have made/intend to make to admin@prosquared.org by 7th July 2025, further information for which can be found on our website. This paper will only be used as participation information for the summer school and promotional material with the owner’s consent, it will not be assessed.
