Welcome to the pro² network+ WhatsApp Community! We are a UK Research and Innovation funded network that aims to make it easier for people to make digital devices. Learn more about us at www.prosquared.org.

This community is intended to be a welcoming space for network members to: 

• Socialise and connect with others who have an interest in making digital devices. 
• Share your prototyping to production challenges and solutions. 
• Summer School attendees to share ideas, learn together, and keep in touch.

• Be kind and respectful of others.
• Don’t private message others without their permission. It is okay to private message the community admins, but please be respectful of their time.
• Harassment and hate speech of any kind will not be tolerated.
• Avoid posting misinformation and content that is overtly political or polarising.
• You’re very welcome to share opportunities with the community but please avoid spamming the group with excessive advertising or content that is not relevant to the community’s interests.
• Do not plagiarise the ideas of others.

If the rules above are not followed, community admins may take the following actions:

• Warn the individual about the problem and ask that they refrain from behaving similarly in future.
• If the problem persists, remove the individual from the community and the groups within it.
• If the admin deems it appropriate, report violations of WhatsApp’s Terms of Service to WhatsApp.

If you encounter any problematic behaviour directed toward yourself or others, please get in touch with the community admins privately to inform them of the issue. You can also get in touch with the pro² Management Team at admin@prosquared.org. Please note that responses from this email address will only be sent during office hours (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm GMT/BST).

Data shared in this community may be used by the pro² network+ for the following purposes:

• Our own monitoring and evaluation purposes to assess the impact of network activities.
• To advertise the activities of the network to aid in building the pro² community.
• To gather content which could be utilised for network advertising purposes. Where this is the case, permission will be sought first from the owners of the content shared.

You are welcome to leave the community at any time. Members of the community must not share data, including contact details, for other members of the community without their permission. Data collected from the WhatsApp Community will be held for the duration of the pro² network+.
