As a special offer for Open Hardware Summit 2026 attendees, the pro² network+ is offering one free place via raffle at our Device Prototyping Summer SchoolTaking place from the 14th to the 17th of July at Lancaster University, this 3.5 day hands-on event is a fantastic opportunity for anyone with an interest in making digital devices to take their skills and knowledge to the next level. 

  • Up to 40 people will be attending the course, which typically costs £100 to cover accommodation, meals and all course content. The raffle winner will be able to attend for free! See offer details below. 
  • £4000 will additionally be available in prizes to help develop the most compelling and impactful prototypes into products. 
  • Open to all levels of experience and career stages, from student to established professional. New and return attendees welcome! 
  • Ideal for anyone with an interest in low-volume digital device creation including makers, visionaries and researchers from any discipline.

Enter to win free entry to the 2026 Summer School

To enter the raffle for a chance to win a free place at the 2026 Device Prototyping Summer School, register for free as a member of the pro2 network by 11:59pm BST on the 24th of May 2026. When completing the registration form, please ensure you tick the box confirming you would like to be entered into the summer school raffle. One winner will be selected at random and notified by email; to receive the free entry to the summer school, the winner must reply by email to accept their place by 6pm BST on Friday the 29th of May 2026.

The winner will be asked to email a 2-page Word document about a device prototype they have or would like to make to admin@prosquared.org by the 6th of July 2026. Instructions for writing and submitting the short paper will be provided. Examples of papers submitted to the 2025 summer school can be found on our website. The winner will also be asked to bring to the summer school either a device prototype or a poster describing a prototype the winner has made or would like to make. The prototype/poster will be displayed to other delegates at the summer school as part of a device demo session.
